Understanding Emotions as a Unique Predictor of Social Self-Realization in Part-Time and Full-Time Students

<p>Self-realization, as a psychological phenomenon that combines well-pronounced motivational and cognitive-evaluative components, largely determines adaptive resources of person. This article analyzes the relationships among three types self-realization, basic personal traits, professional experience emotional intelligence young adults on sample 125 students (girls boys) Southern Federal University. A part consisted part-time who combined work training (n=51), rest were full-time in their respective fields study (n=74). The tested research hypotheses, namely that: (1) respondents would report relatively low level social comparison with self-realization; (2) Significant differences be observed indicators but not intelligence, between sub-samples students; (3) Professional experience, characteristics individual contribute to respondents' subjective assessment self-realization. Results ANOVA, correlational regression analysis data collected using psychodiagnostic techniques by Kudinov (self-realization profiles), Lyusin (EmIn), Sschebetenko (Big Five-2), large, confirmed all particular most importantly – about two categories self-realization various combinations its predictors, specifically, unique role ‘understanding emotions’ factor. also discusses importance for successful adaptation people describes psycho-correctional psychological-pedagogical methods, including specialized designed compensate self-realization.</p>
